All Levels Contemporary Movement Improvisation 10/5/25

The All Levels Contemporary Movement Improvisation class is led by Liddy Hade, a Cincinnati-based artist and dancer with 10+ years of experience in Ballet and Contemporary Dance who is excited to share her knowledge with the OTR community. This class is designed to support a wide breadth of community needs through a simple and accessible movement practice.

Class Structure:

• Class begins at 10 am. Doors are open at 9:45 am to welcome class participants and allow for personal time to ground, stretch, and get settled in.
• At 10 am the doors will be locked and we will start the class by sitting in a circle to introduce ourselves.
• The class will then continue with a body-awareness building exercise as warm up. We will then move into movement phrasing, learning a new technique, or playing a movement game. A short break will occur for water, restroom etc during this portion.
• The last 15 minutes of the class will be spent debriefing and relating to each other about how the class was experienced.

Additional Participation Info:

Come prepared to dance barefoot! There will be a designated area in the building to set aside personal belongings including shoes. Shoes will not be permitted in the dance area or during the class. Socks are heavily discouraged so as to prevent slipping.
