How closely related are hawks, falcons, and owls? While there are lots of similarities between birds of prey, some might not be as closely related as you expect.This event begins with a 1-hour presentation by our friends from the Mountsberg Raptor Centre sharing their knowledge on birds of prey found in Ontario, their adaptations, and the threats they face in urban environments like Toronto. Supporting the human experts in teaching us will be three live birds of prey!
After the presentation, the Nature Centre team will lead a 45-minute hike through High Park uncovering the familial connections of the raptors in the park.
You can choose to register for one of our three sessions:
Session 1: 12-1:45PM
Session 2: 1:30-3:15PM (*Kid-friendly)
Session 3: 3-4:45PM
Price: $20 ($15 for children under 14 years)
