All Hallows' Feed // A community-powered trick-or-treat
About this Event
A group of Charlotte creatives will host All Hallows’ Feed, a free community event on Saturday, October 31, starting at 11 a.m. and running until supplies are gone. Supplies are first come, first served, so families are encouraged to arrive early. Costumes are highly encouraged!
Modeled after the community-driven Project All Hallows' Feed initiative in Washington state, the event combines festive Halloween fun with essential mutual aid. Families can pick up pantry staples, enjoy treats and activities, and connect with neighbors, all at no cost. The event will take place at Black Wednesday, located at 529 Briar Creek Road, Charlotte, NC 28205.
Everything at the event is free:
- Pantry staples & snacks: groceries and snacks to help stretch household budgets
- Winter coat "shop": women's and kids' coats to browse and take home
- Sweet treats: candy and some fun surprises
- Kids' crafts: hands-on Halloween activities for little ones
- Face painting: festive looks for kids of all ages
- Themed photo booth: a keepsake photo to remember the day
- Live DJ: music to keep the neighborhood celebration going
