Charleston Animal Society is facing a critical overcrowding crisis, and we need the community’s help. Our shelter is packed with wonderful, adoptable dogs eager to find a home to call their own.
“As the largest shelter in South Carolina, we are at capacity and urgently calling on the public to step up and adopt,” said Charleston Animal Society Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Aldwin Roman, CAWA. “We have incredible dogs waiting for a second chance, and every adoption makes a life-changing difference.”
To encourage adoptions, Charleston Animal Society is waiving all adoption fees for dogs (12 months and older). Each dog is fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and behavior-tested, ensuring a smooth transition into your home.
Spring is the perfect season to welcome a new furry friend! Whether it's playtime in the yard or training sessions with the family, adopting a dog brings joy, companionship, and a meaningful way to make a difference in an animal’s life.
