All Day Monotype Party

Equal parts party and serious workshop, this historic activity goes back to the 1880s, with the Salmagundi Club being a recognized center for "Monotype Parties". Images are created on a plate and run through a printing press to create a singular impression.

Participants can come and go all day long, but you must sign up in advance if you plan to attend!

Whether an experienced printmaker or a novice, it doesn’t matter. These parties have become the most popular events of the club season, so don’t miss out!

WE WILL SUPPLY: Plates and Press
; Basic Colors in inks; 
Paper for printing; 
All necessary tools and printmaking equipment

MATERIALS TO BRING: References; sketchbooks; previous work you might want to experiment with; drawings; photos; stencils; personal tools, stiff bristle brushes (for working on plates); Q-Tips; toothpicks; etc.
