All Alberta Night at the Rocky Mountain Listening Room

All Alberta Night at the Rocky Mountain Listening Room.

The Rocky Mountain Listening Room is a music venue that appreciates music by offering a listening environment to artists. (Think quiet like an art gallery!).

Christie J Simmons

Calgary, Alberta’s Christie J Simmons crafts elegant, acoustic songs that balance clarity with poetic edge.

Her background in classical flute, early music, and highland bagpipes informs a sound that is grounded yet unexpected. Drawing inspiration from the vast prairie sky and the fragile courage of being human, she writes with the insight of a storyteller and the heart of a poet.

Her albums Winnie’s Song and Learn You by Heart reveal her gift for quiet intensity and lyrical grace.

Toni Vere

Toni Vere is a Canadian singer-songwriter whose lyric-driven folk songs blend emotional depth, wry observation, and lived-in storytelling. Her work balances intimacy and strength, delivered with a grounded vocal style that resonates in both quiet listening rooms and festival settings. An engaging live performer, Toni connects quickly with audiences through honest songwriting and a confident, welcoming stage presence.

Toni Vere was the runner up to the Rocky Mountain Listening Room Spotlight Artist series last year winning a recording from Wheelhouse Sound.
