All About San Francisco’s Stairways: No Walking Required!
About this Event
Take a comfy seat and celebrate the grand finale of SF Stairway Month hearing authors Mary Burk (Stairway Walks in San Francisco) and Alexandra Kenin (Urban Trails series, San Francisco, East Bay, Peninsula and South Bay). And sharpen your wits: We will have a special SF stairway trivia game designed by moderator Liz Novoa (aka Instagram’s @sfstaircasequeen).
Mary and Alex will delight you with stories of SF’s known and hidden stairways, tell you about the best views, and share the whereabouts of secret gardens and more. Mary enjoyed a longstanding partnership with Adah Bakalinsky, co-authoring these now renowned stairway books until Adah’s passing at over 100 years old. Alex is the embodiment of energy. In addition to highlights from her book(s), she will share her detailed map of everything that you have wanted to know about SF’s roughly 1000 stairways.
