Celebrate Black History Month with a full day of hands-on learning, creativity, and discovery at Lee Hall Depot! This family-friendly event highlights the vital and often untold contributions African-Americans made to railroad history and innovation.📅 February 7 | 10:00 AM–4:00 PM

✨ What to Expect:
• Interactive STEAM activities and a Maker Space led by the City of Newport News Library Outreach Team
• Learn about Black inventors who shaped railroad technology
• Design and build at the Create Your Own Blueprint station
• Explore a temporary interpretive storyboard exhibit featuring stories of enslaved individuals, women, and the civil rights movement connected to the railroad
