EV Construction, a leading West Michigan construction management firm, is proud to host its 11th Annual Alive365: Safety Week. The 2026 event will take place Monday, March 9, through Friday, March 13, at The Pinnacle Center in Hudsonville and at EV Construction’s headquarters in Holland, Michigan.The week begins with the Safety Symposium on Monday, March 9, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at The Pinnacle Center. This year’s keynote speaker, Curtis Weber, is an international presenter who will share the powerful story of his near-fatal workplace accident and six-year recovery journey.
The Symposium will also feature vendor exhibits, networking opportunities, an interactive session about the cost of distractions on project sites, and more.
Throughout Safety Week, EV Construction will offer free training sessions for industry professionals across a variety of practice areas, including:
- First Aid, CPR & AED
- Lift Training
- OSHA 10-Hour
- Qualified Rigger & Signal Person
- Lead & Asbestos – Competent Person
- Mental Health First Aid
- Silica – Competent Person
- Lunch with MIOSHA
In addition, three sessions will be offered in Spanish: OSHA 10-Hour, Aerial Lift, and the Fatal Four of Construction.
Employee training carries both direct costs and opportunity costs — including registration fees and time away from work. However, the cost of not training employees can be far greater. To remove barriers, EV hosts these training and certification sessions at zero cost to attendees or their companies. Safety Week is 100% funded by EV Construction to ensure boots-on-the-ground professionals have access to the training they need to protect themselves and those around them.
Improving workplace safety in West Michigan requires collaboration among corporate leaders — particularly in construction, manufacturing, and industrial sectors. Safety Week reflects EV Construction’s commitment to raising the standard of safety across our region and supporting organizations that share that mission.
