Alice Mae – whose real name is Alexia – used to borrow her parents’ CDs to immerse herself in classic alternative rock. Inspired by legendary bands such as Oasis, The Rolling Stones and U2, she promised herself she would make authentic, no-nonsense rock music, with a distinct feminine touch in a predominantly male scene. At the age of 25, she is fulfilling that promise.
Her style reflects her easy-going nature, yet at the same time she touches you deeply with her unique, lived-in voice. Alice Mae sings with raw sincerity and has a special way of translating her feelings straight to the hearts of her audience.
She writes music to bring order to her messy mind and pours her thoughts into lyrics in the hope that they will land on a meaningful point.
