Active and Creative Teen Theatre presents “Alice by Heart” Friday and Saturday July 10-11 at 7:30 pm and Sunday July 12 at 2 pm at Hoogland Center for the Arts.
Alice by Heart is a moving and imaginative musical inspired by Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. Set during the London Blitz of World War II, the story follows Alice Spencer and her best friend Alfred as they take shelter in an underground tube station. When Alfred is separated from her by illness, Alice escapes into the world of Wonderland, where fantasy and reality intertwine. Featuring a contemporary score by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater, Alice by Heart explores first love, grief, resilience, and the power of imagination to help us face life’s most difficult challenges.
