The well-known Edinburgh Jazz vocalist Ali Affleck will bring her Spicy Lil' Devils to the Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club - with pianist Brian Kellock!The band celebrates the swingiest 1930s hot jazz and old time blues and is great to listen to and equally good for dancing Foxtrot, Lindy Hop, Jive, Balboa, Collegiate Shag and more...
In addition to Ali and Brian, we'll have Colin Steele on the trumpet, Lorenzo Cortez on the guitar and Roy Percy on the double bass. What an absolutely fantastic combo!
The Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club offers on Fridays live Jazz music in a relaxed club house atmosphere, with a bar and an excellent, wooden dance floor. The music is generally suitable for dancing Foxtrot and Swing (Lindy Hop, Shag, Balboa). Come along to listen to superb Jazz and to dance the evening away!
No need to book in advance, just come along! The entry fee of £12 (£10 for members) can be paid at the door by card, cash or cheque. The main entrance is from Bangholm Terrace, with step-free access from Warriston Gardens corner Inverleith Row.
