Algolia Search Party - Welcome back to Paris!

Once upon a time, we used to host developer meetups in our Paris office. This was before the pandemic, and the last one was 2.5 years ago.

We are happy to bring tech events back to the office with our upcoming Search Party! It will take place on Wednesday, June 29th. Come celebrate with us and hear some developers explaining how they built some creative things with Algolia.

Our Developer Advocate Chuck Meyer will be here from the US, and we will also have our Ambassador Jakub travelling from Poland for the event! You'll also be able to meet plenty of Algolia developers and community members around a drink after the talks.

• Who has time to build search anyway? - Dhaya Benmessaoud, Senior Front-End Engineer at Algolia

  In this talk, Dhaya will demonstrate how Algolia and React InstantSearch Hooks can help builders save time and effort during their search implementation process. With React InstantSearch Hooks, typical use-cases like search UI customization, SSR, and more can be handled in a fraction of the time usually required with more traditional approaches.

• Using Algolia in Nuxt apps -> Vue Storefront integration & Nuxt 3 module - Jakub Andrzejewski, Senior Full Stack Developer at Vue Storefront and Algolia Ambassador

  In this talk, Jakub will explain the importance of a search engine like Algolia in e-commerce on example of Vue Storefront, and also how simple it is to add Algolia to new Nuxt 3 application by using a module he created

• Adding trend recommendations to your ecommerce homepage - Chuck Meyer, Sr Developer Advocate at Algolia

  Recommend's new Trends ML models help identify popular products and facets from your product catalog. In this talk, Chuck walks you through how the models work and demonstrates how to add a list of popular product categories to the Algolia Ecommerce Template homepage.
