"The soul of a singer/songwriter combines with the emotion of blues and the power of rock" - Alex Lopez is an acclaimed guitarist, prolific songwriter and emerging artist recognized for his electrifying live performances. While renown as a blues/rock artist where critics have said he is capable of revitalizing the genre, Alex's music transcends genres with emotive songs which connect with audiences in a deep meaningful way.

Alex Lopez was born in the heartland of Rock n Roll Cleveland Ohio and started playing keyboards before becoming inspired by British blues/rock bands to master the guitar. Influenced by greats like Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jimi Hendrix, as well as The Beatles Alex spent young adulthood performing in clubs and recording original songs in small studios while polishing his songwriting skills. Since his move to Florida to attend college, Alex spent years as the vocalist and lead guitarist of the wildly popular rock band Reminiscion before striking out on his own...
In September of 2013 Alex released the self-recorded album "Back Bedroom Blues" a collection of all original blues and blues/rock songs on which he played all instruments and introduced his formidable skills as a blues guitarist and singer/songwriter. In 2015 Alex Lopez released his second CD "Is it a Lie" with his newly formed band "The Xpress" to excellent reviews. His third album, "Slowdown" achieved a new level of success with international recognition and critical acclaim rising up the blues, jam and Americana charts with worldwide airplay and earning Alex fans across the globe. The album was especially recognized for its emotive songwriting with songs like "Redeem Me" and "Stolen". The follow-up album "Yours Truly, me..." went to #6 on the blues Radio charts and clearly positioned Alex to continue his ascent in contemporary blues. "Your Truly Me" expanded past the blues genre and brought in elements of jazz, pop and even funk and the album was recognized for its fusion approach.

Alex's 2021 release written and recorded in the midst of the pandemic was the blues rocker "Rising up" which went to top ten on the Billboard charts...receiving outstanding reviews and recognition the album solidified Alex's position as blues rock force to be reckoned with and one of it's rising stars...

Unable to tour due to the pandemic shutdown Alex continue working in the studio with stunning results.

Released in 2022, one of top the blues/rock albums of the year "Nasty Crime" which was #1 on the blues/rock radio charts and hailed by critics as a tremendous accomplishment. This ambitious recording covers the spectrum of blues and its songs serve as a statement on our society today. The concept album left a lasting impression on his audience and further cemented his position as a songwriter. This was followed by an extensive tour covering the southeast US, Texas Oklahoma and Arkansas and into the Midwest.

With the retirement of his long time keyboardist, Alex and his band moved into a new direction staying with a 3-piece format. With this new muscular and straight forward approach Alex and his band (now named ALX short for Alex Lopez Xpress) decided to re-enter the studio to record their most daring album to date the pure blues/rock album aptly named "Looking for a Change" Released Oct 27th 2023 the new album skyrocketed to top ten on The Blues Billboard charts and received praise from critics for its devotion to the blues rock heroes that initially created the genre. TODAY Alex and his band ALX are touring the country and beyond to spread the music in support of the new album...
