Bristol-bred, Barcelona-based Alec Snook is decomposing, live.

Having lost his mum suddenly in 2019, Snook set about the task of writing her eulogy. Inadvertently coping with the loss through (dark) humour, the resulting extracts formed almost exactly a "5-minute bit". And thus began the adventure...

In trying to find some closure - and in the process find himself - Snook embarked on a comedic journey to try and explore mortality and make sense of our passage through this life.

This, his debut hour show, is a joyous journey into general decline through short tales, absurdist detours and outraged storytelling.

Having performed in the UK, Europe, at festivals in Glasgow and Edinburgh, reaching the final of the Barcelona International Comedy Festival in 2022; picking up three nominations (winning one) at the local Barcelona Clubbie Awards in 2023; and coming Runner-up in Edinburgh’s official ‘Best Joke of The Fringe’ 2024, Snook's topics swing as wildly as his mental state, covering themes such as loss, colourblindness, narrowboat tragedies, royal funerals and the crushing weight of representing the bald community. 
Expressed as an equation, Snook is: whimsy x wordplay ÷ dark absurdity – integrity.
