Alebrijes en San Jose Walking Tours

Grab a cafecito and your walking shoes to join us on a stroll from San José State University to Plaza de Cesar Chavez to learn and see the mystical and mythological alebrijes on display.

First you’ll stop at the MLK Library to visit the Spirits in Color: The Magic of Alebrijes Exhibition to learn about the origins of this folkloric art and how its popularity grew and see a curated display of alebrijes from a variety of artists. Then you’ll take a 8-10 minute walk to Plaza de Cesar Chavez to see the towering magical Alebrijes en San Jose sculptures.
