WHAT TO EXPECT
Hands-on painting instruction alongside a bilingual (English/Spanish) exploration of the history and folklore behind alebrijes and Zapotec tradition.
WHAT YOU'LL TAKE HOME
Your own hand-painted wooden alebrije, a written guide to the history behind the tradition, and a deeper connection to a craft passed down for generations.
Best for ages 10 and up. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
TICKETS
- $35 for Museum members (members can email [email protected] for their discount code)
- $40 for non-members
PARKING
- Bonderson Garage (Lot 24) directly across the street from the Museum on the corner of 10th & O Streets (now accepts credit card in addition to cash).
- Limited metered street parking is available on streets surrounding the Museum. Please visit City of Sacramento Parking Services for more information.
- Bike parking is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
