Alder Hey Christmas Lecture

We are pleased to present the annual Christmas Lecture for 2024 where we will be joined by Prof Al Aynsley-Green who will deliver his session entitled Putting compassion back into compassionate care - what does this mean for Alder Hey?

Al will hold an interactive session, using lived experience, and really challenge us on the topic of compassion in the care that we give. Al has been a frequent visitor to Alder Hey over his career and is keen to help us start this conversation.

Al is patron of Mosaic – a charity supporting bereaved children, was the first Children’s Commissioner and is now the UK’s first professor of compassionate care at Northampton University. He has had an eminent career as an paediatric endocrinologist with many honours and awards.

This Lecture is open to all, learners and substantive staff from all professions. The event will be live streamed, available in person and will be recorded. Tickets for the in person event are limited to 100 so please secure your place now
