New year, new iteration of the bookstore! Alcott's Attic returns to the Fisher Building this spring. Find us next to the Fisher Theatre March-August with extended hours on theatre nights.
ABOUT THE FISHER BUILDING
The Art Deco-style Fisher Building was built in 1928. It is designated as a National Historic Landmark and was awarded a silver medal in architecture by the Architecture League of New York in 1929. It is known as "Detroit's Largest Art Object." Beautiful details in the 441-foot tower include a marble-clad façade, spectacular mosaics, extensive bronze details, and a three-story, hand-painted, barrel-vaulted ceiling.
