TWRA's Statewide Free Family Fishing Day June 6th, 2026Duck Pond Fishing Derby for Youth

No registration is required.
Age limit: 3-15 years old.
This event is held in sponsorship with TWRA, Walmart, and other area organizations. Trophies are awarded in each age division for the largest fish and the most fish caught. Overall event winner for each category will receive atrophy as well. All participants receive a goody bag and are eligible to win door prizes including a grand prize. A fun and games area will also be available after weigh-in.
On Bobby Wilson Free Fishing Day June 6th, 2026 all state residents and visitors of any age may fish for free without a license in Tennessee's public waters. Additionally, youth ages 15 or younger may fish for free the entire week, beginning on Free Fishing Day (June 6) and continuing through the following Friday, June 12.
