Alchemia Sundays: Cacao, Embodied Voice Breathwork, & Ecstatic Dance

About the event

This 3-hour experience, begins with a cacao activation with ceremonial cacao from Costa Rica, followed by an ecstatic dance by Joey Greiner and Embodied Voice Breathwork®️ with Fern Olivia.

It combines guided breath holds, Gamma breath, visualization, and vocal toning with roots in Kundalini Yoga, Rebirthing Breathwork and Conscious Connected Breathwork. The practice involves connecting with one’s inner healer and exploring the depths of the psyche and vocal expression in a safe and sacred space, accompanied by live music and DJ dance set.

Vocal activation, brain rewiring and somatic exercises with movement as medicine support sustainable mind-heart coherence and a deep state of surrender to the present moment. Music and breath becomes a guide, fine tuning our inner ear to stimulate the pineal gland, releasing natural DMT from the brain and bringing us into a deep state of altered consciousness, safely and naturally.

About Cacao

Cacao is more than just the fruit from which we get chocolate. The Mayans and other indigenous communities call it the Food of the Gods. It’s known as a Heart Opener because it’s promotes healthy blood flow and a sense of happiness and well-being.

About our Guides

Joey Greiner is a musician, meditation guide, cacao facilitator and the Founder of Converge wellness collective. He works regularly with indigenous communities, studying with elders and organizing events and fundraisers to help the communities protect and preserve their cultures and lands. Joey is a student of Nana Marina Cruz from Guatemala in the Mayan traditions of Cacao & the Chol Q'ij sacred calendar. Joey has been DJing for over 18 years & has guided many Ecstatic Dances as well as clubs & festivals around the world.

Fern Olivia is a former Wall Street exec, now living in the jungle in Costa Rica where she leads retreats and works with the breath, yoga and music to bring people back to their heart and connection to spirit. With over 14 years of study and certifications in Vinyasa Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Breathwork, and Sound Therapy, Fern has created her own signature method weaving ceremonial cacao, breathwork, vocal activation, somatic movement and dance as Embodied Voice Breathwork®️, which she shares in festivals and retreats worldwide.

Converge curates intentional gatherings for personal transformation, inspiring connections to self, others, and to the Earth.
