What is the Circular Economy?
The circular economy (CE), like a forest ecosystem, is a cyclical system where “waste” is material and energy used to feed other organisms. Items previously conceived as waste could be recovered, repaired, upgraded, or remanufactured. Underutilized resources can be shared. Waste from one industry could be a value added resource for another. Waste reduction is just one outcome of the CE.
How to get there:
Transit options include the Churchill LRT station exit via 100 St & 102 Ave and the nearest bus stop is at 100 St & Jasper Ave. After reviewing all parking options, we recommend the underground parking at the Library Parkade for $4.5/hour. Please note that the Library Parkade elevators are out of service; use the library elevator on levels P2 and P3.
Online option: Link to virtual option only available after registering for the event.
What is the Waste Reduction Network?
The Waste Reduction Network helps businesses and organizations in the industrial, commercial and institutional (ICI) sector connect with peers and the City to learn best practices, share expertise, address challenges, and collaborate on waste reduction initiatives.
