After a life of hard graft, retirement is a far cry from what Albert Nobbs expected. He is bored and nagged senseless by his wife, Connie. However, when Connie dies in a road accident, he struggles to find a reason to carry on – until she returns as a ghost and sets about organising a fulfilling retirement for Albert, including finding him a new romantic interest. Dubbed 'A Blithe Spirit for the Working Class', the play is simultaneous devastatingly painful and delightfully funny.On in the Lichfield Garrick Studio from 23rd to 26th October 2024.
