Celebrate WA Day in Albany!Join us at the Museum of the Great Southern for a vibrant, family-friendly community celebration.
On WA Day, Monday June 1 from 10am–2pm, enjoy a full day of local entertainment including live music and choir performances, alongside family favourites like Jamie the Clown, face painting and bouncy castles.
Immerse yourself in Living Histories, a special storytelling experience sharing voices and stories from Filipino, Indian and Menang communities through cultural performances and interactive sessions.
There’s plenty to explore, with hands-on activities including museum crafts, messy play, outdoor games and the much-loved Thong Throwing Competition. You can also visit the “Cameleers and Camels” exhibition and enjoy free access to the Brig Amity.
Connect with local community groups, emergency services and environmental initiatives, grab a bite at the community sausage sizzle, and take part in cultural activities including Japanese origami workshops.
Bring the kids, meet up with friends and celebrate community spirit in Albany.
Proudly supported by BHP, the State Government and Lotterywest.
