There’s killers on the loose in 1920s Oklahoma. They stalk the oil-wealthy Osage Nation, leaving a string of brutal murders in their path. Caught directly in the middle of the violence are white man Ernest Burkhart (Leonardo DiCaprio, THE WOLF OF WALL STREET) and his Osage wife, Mollie Burkhart (Lily Gladstone, FIRST COW), reeling from the deaths of her family members. As Ernest is torn between his wife and his domineering uncle, William Hale (Robert De Niro, THE IRISHMAN), a fledgling FBI investigation begins while the killings threaten to take away all the Osage have worked to build.
Featuring two of Martin Scorcese’s muses (Dicaprio and De Niro) and a powerhouse performance from Lily Gladstone, KILLERS OF THE FLOWER MOON is a triumphant film that will leave you in awe. The sheer brutality inflicted on the Osage Nation during the Reign of Terror, as it came to be known, is stunning, especially considering this was after they already had their native lands ripped away.
