Alameda Elks Annual First Lady's Luncheon

This year’s theme is High Tea at Elkdom Abbey with Miss Jane Austen.

Individual tickets for this event are just $40. Full tables of eight can be purchased for $320.

As is our custom, both gentlemen and ladies are invited to attend and rest assured, our High Tea will be an elegant but very filling meal in the style of Jane Austen’s time. If tea is not your beverage of choice, fear not: WE ALASO HAVE A CASH BAR!

Our tea party includes the usual delights of our annual Ladies Luncheon: live entertainment, a raffle of lovely items (including the famous Money Bonnet bonus), a silent auction, and the always-thrilling Live Auction of Grand Prizes. All proceeds from this event go to the Purple Pig to raise funds for our state major (California-Hawaii Elks Major Project, Inc - CHEMPI). CHEMPI provides at-home services for speech, occupational and physical therapy, as well as testing eyesight for more than 50,000 school aged children annually.

Vintage or modern afternoon tea attire is admired but not required and hats or bonnets are encouraged. For those who enjoy dressing up in period costume, the setting of our tea is Regency England (1811-1820), the time period of most of Jane Austen’s novels and the wildly popular Netflix series, “Bridgerton.” Entertainment includes a short concert of the lively and romantic social dances from Jane Austen’s time by the Peers Flying Circus, a historical dance troupe run by First Lady Cathleen and Esteemed Lecturing Knight Cassiane Mobley.
