Join us on Thursdays in July for Alabama in the Movies, our summer film festival featuring movies with Alabama connections. Admission is FREE! Concessions will be available for purchase beginning at 5:30.
Thursday, July 28: 42: The True Story of an American Legend (2013) This film tells the life story of Jackie Robinson, who became the first Black player in Major League Baseball when he was signed to the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1947. Many of the scenes were filmed at Birmingham’s Rickwood Field. Drama. Starring Chadwick Boseman, T. R. Knight, and Harrison Ford. Rated PG-13.
