About this Event
Do you need guidance when it comes to getting your startup off the ground? The Women's Business Center of Northern Ohio and Akron Community Foundation have partnered to bring you: Business Basics Bootcamp, where we'll take you through the essential steps to launch and grow your own successful venture!
This two session in-person training course will be held downtown at the Akron-Summit County Public Library in their Small Business & Nonprofit Resource Center. Businesses currently in the ideation stages or less than 2 years old are encouraged to apply! We are accepting up to 25 participants.

Participants are expected to attend both sessions. Light refreshments will be provided.

About the Trainer
Diego Hodge is the Founder and CEO of Blabberworks Management, a business advisory firm dedicated to helping small businesses achieve profitability. With over 32 years of experience, Diego has a proven track record of turning ventures into successful, profitable enterprises.
He manages a diverse portfolio that includes an adult beverage company, a real estate investment firm, an airport lounge, and an event activation agency. Diego's leadership extends beyond his businesses into meaningful philanthropic work. He serves on the boards of the Golden Opportunity Foundation and the Women’s Business Center of Ohio, supporting initiatives in financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and education.
Diego resides between Cleveland and Atlanta with his wife, Julia. A devoted family man, he mentors his six adult children and eleven grandchildren, instilling values of wisdom, excellence, integrity, and wealth.
The Economic & Community Development Institute's Women's Business Centers of Ohio guide individuals at any stage of the business process. Through one-on-one counseling sessions with WBC staff and volunteers, you can get the direction and resources to meet your goals. Business advisers want to help you successfully start a business, or grow and expand your existing business -- increasing revenue and creating jobs for the local economy.
The WBCs present training workshops regularly to provide access to small business knowledge at no charge. They are the only SBA-funded Women's Business Centers in the state.
