Akkarai Sisters:

R. Sankaranarayanan:

Sri R. Sankaranarayan began learning music at the tender age of 3 from mridangam vidwan Papanasam Sri R. Kumar and later continued with Vidwan Melattur Sri L. Balasubramaniam. He continues to learn today from mridangam maestro and Sangeet Natak Akadami Puraskar awardee, Kalaimamani Srimushnam Sri V Rajarao.

Vijay Ganesh:

Sri Vijay Ganesh a seasoned mridangist who has been learning this divine art from the tender age of 6. His tutelage has been under the likes of Sangeetha kala Acharya and Vidwan Late Sri. Kumbakonam Rajappa Iyer, as well as lessons from mridangam legend Kalaimamani Srimushnam Sri V Rajarao. Vijay Ganesh has performed extensively in India and the United States, accompanying many eminent Carnatic musicians like Dr. M. Balamurali Krishna, Pandit Viswamohan Bhatt, and Pandit Ronu Majumdar. He has won several awards, including the Best Mridangist award from Music Academy, Best Mridangist award in Gokulashtami festival from Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, and Youth Excellence for Mridangam from Sri Maharajapuram Vishwanatha Iyer trust. Vijay Ganesh is also the director of KMR School of Mridangam, under which he is propagating Carnatic music in many prestigious stages across Canada and the US.
