This class is designed to help puppies build confidence, learn basic manners, practice age-appropriate socialization, and develop a strong foundation for future obedience training.
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy stands for:
Socialization

Activity
Responsibility
In this class, your puppy will work on important foundation skills like:
Name recognition and attention
Coming when called
Sit, down, and beginner stay
Loose leash walking foundations
Polite greetings
Calm handling and grooming practice
Confidence around new sights, sounds, people, and dogs
Settling around distractions
We will also cover common puppy challenges like nipping, chewing, jumping, potty training, and helping your puppy learn how to make better choices.
The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test is included as part of the class. Puppies who successfully complete the program and pass the test may be eligible for AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy recognition.

6-week group puppy training class
1-hour sessions
$250 per puppy
Limited to 10 puppies
Outdoor class setting
Positive reinforcement training
AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy test included
Requirements:
Puppies must be at least 4 months old and under 1 year old at the start of class. Puppies must be current on rabies, Bordetella, and all 3 distemper/parvo puppy vaccines. This class is for puppies who can safely participate in a small outdoor group class setting.
No shock, prong, or choke collars are permitted.
This class is a great first step for puppy parents who want more than basic commands. It is about confidence, communication, trust, and giving your puppy the foundation they need to grow into a well-mannered adult dog.
