The AKC FIT DOG Level 1 course is designed to teach foundation skills for fitness. While our dogs are learning these new fitness skills, they will be using new muscles and move in new ways. We will work on proper form to prevent injury.
This program is not for dogs recovering from injury, morbidly obese, dogs in pain or puppies under 18 months of age.
Eligible dogs should have completed an obedience class and have basic understanding of lure reward based training.
We will cover:
Cardio
Flexibility
Balance/strength
Mental fitness
Confidence building
45 minutes sessions will run once a week for 6 weeks.
Cost $165
Option equipment packages will be available in class.
Must register 48 hours before start date.
