Come enjoy a day of fun at the Zoo! Deaf Awareness Week is the last week of September and provides an opportunity for the public to learn more about Deaf culture. Join Alaska Relay and various other vendors as they share about the programs and services that support this community. Then, take advantage of complimentary Zoo tickets and roam around the Zoo! There will be door prizes for those who talk to all the vendors, interpreted book readings, and interpreters at the petting zoo. Complimentary tickets are for individuals or family members of individuals who are Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing or Speech Disabled. Limit 4 per family. While supplies last. Deadline to reserve tickets is September 20th.
