Spice up your August with fun filled evenings of exciting Jazz, funk, and Latin music served up by five great AJW Student Ensembles and the AJW Jazz Week Faculty Jazz Quintet at the UAA Fine Arts Building Recital Hall from 7:30-9:30 p.m. on August 7 and 8, 2026. The AJW Student Jazz Ensembles include students from grade 7 through adults jamming for your enjoyment. You will be surprised at how talented these students are. The AJW Faculty Jazz Quintet features special guest artists Amina Figarova-piano and Bart Platteau-flute, and Alaska Jazz Masters John Damberg-drums, Mark Manners-guitar, Jacques Annandale-saxophones, and Bob Andrews-bass.
