We invite you to join us for Safe AI for Seniors, a full-day, free, hybrid event dedicated to empowering older adults (55+) with knowledge, tools, and engaging discussions about Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its impact on daily life. Hosted by the AI4Society research group in the AI Institute at the University of South Carolina, this interactive program will feature expert talks on AI, cybersecurity, law, and health; demonstrations; open discussions tailored to seniors’ needs; and even a fun-filled AI Bingo game.
The event will take place in Columbia, SC, on Friday, November 14, 2025, with both in-person and virtual participation options available. Transportation will also be provided! Please check the FAQs below.
This unique gathering is designed to help seniors better understand AI, explore its benefits and risks, and share their perspectives in shaping a safer digital future. We welcome community members, senior citizen centers, nonprofits, and individuals curious about AI to participate. Whether you are looking to learn the basics, ask critical questions, or simply connect with others navigating the fast-changing technology landscape, this event is for you. Together, we can ensure that seniors are informed, included, and safe in the age of AI.
