Join us in the Restoration Center for a night of inspiring, hands-on discovery.
Let's take a deeper dive (pun intended) into the important role Lake Michigan played in WWII and how our SBD-1 bomber met its gloomy fate, spending more than 50 years on the bottom of the lake. Following this brief presentation, YOU will have the opportunity to participating in activities involved in the restoration of these very planes. Casual clothing that can get a little dirty is also recommended. Activities will include: a keychain riveting station, bead blasting, safety wiring, a tour of the SBD-1 Restoration project, and more!
Space is limited, and exclusive to Air Zoo Members only. As we will be using tools and machinery, we ask that children attending are 10 years of age or older.
