Their breakthrough came with the album “Life Support,” featuring the hit song “Lost in Love,” which caught the attention of music executive Clive Davis and propelled Air Supply to international fame upon signing with Arista Records. Subsequent hits like “All Out of Love” solidified their place in music history, with seven top-five singles and millions of records sold worldwide. The distinctive combination of Hitchcock’s tenor vocals and Russell’s songwriting talent defined the signature Air Supply sound.
Over the years, Air Supply’s influence expanded globally through groundbreaking tours, including being the first Western group to perform in China and Taiwan. Hits like “Making Love Out of Nothing at All” and “Sweet Dreams” further cemented their legacy, garnering millions of radio plays.
