A fun night of bingo benefiting Operation Graduation!Operation Graduation was started by a group of parents in 1988 in response to a great tragedy that is all too familiar. A group of friends were out celebrating on graduation night when one of them was killed in a drunk driving accident. Determined to stop another young life from being cut short, a group of parents decided to give graduates a positive alternative.
Operation Graduation will be hosting its 36th annual event on Friday, May 24th just after the MUHS Graduation Ceremony. This is a free, safe, adult-chaperoned event sponsored by the Mingus Connection Foundation, the Cottonwood Rec Center, parents, community volunteers, and local businesses.
Attendees will be able to play ping pong, use the pool and water slide, play video games, use the climbing wall, and do karaoke, among other things. A DJ will be playing music, and food and drinks will be available. Prizes for our graduates include computers, electronics, gift certificates, and the big prize of $2024 dollars!
OpGrad is possible only through volunteer efforts and community support. This event is planned and run strictly by volunteers so that all donations received are used for the celebration, which includes the facility & equipment rental costs.
