Aimee Nolte: Pianist, vocalist, composer, and educator Aimee Nolte has become one of today’s most recognizable voices in jazz education while maintaining an active career as a performer and recording artist. Through her widely followed “Aimee Nolte Music” channel and concert appearances across the country, she has inspired hundreds of thousands of musicians with her approachable teaching style, excitement for music,lyrical piano playing, and expressive vocals. Her recordings blend jazz with influences from singer-songwriters, folk, and pop, creating music that is both sophisticated and deeply personal.

Mike Scott: Guitarist Mike Scott is one of Southern California’s most respected jazz musicians, known for his lyrical improvisation, beautiful tone, and inventive compositions. A sought-after performer and educator, he has appeared with leading jazz artists throughout the United States and abroad while also serving on the music faculty at Fullerton College.

Together, Nolte and Scott share a musical partnership built on years of performing, recording, and arranging together. Their duo concerts highlight the intimacy of voice, piano, and guitar, allowing every performance to unfold organically through conversation, cooperative improvisation, and a shared love of great songs.

Parking is located under the building, accessible from west of the building off of 1st St. between Bunker Hill Towers and the mini-shopping center AU LAC is in.

Once you’ve turned into the large driveway, turn left into the garage “Guest Parking and Residence Parking of The Promendade”. $12 CASH ONLY.

The club is nestled within the awarding-winning 5 star Vietnamese vegan restaurant AU LAC. The address is 710 W. 1st St., downtown near Disney Hall.

Offering everything from straight-ahead and BeBop to Latin, experimental, R&B, electronic and global jazz, as well as spoken word, Birds of a Feather Jazz Lounge often mixes both old-school legends and the next generation of LA’s finest musicians. It’s a spot that aims to capture a classic, unique jazz lounge vibe.

Performances at Birds of a Feather Jazz Lounge happen Tuesdays through Sundays, depending on who has booked, and shows benefit selected charity and non-profit organizations.

Au Lac is a non-alcoholic restaurant. We serve nice mock-tails in the venue. And the good news is that all ages can attend or perform there! If you're wanting alcohol before or after the event, The Conrad is a lovely bar just across the front of Disney hall, just a block away.
