Challengers is beyond excited to announce the return of AJ MENDEZ and AIMEE GARCIA to the shop! They've got a brand new comic book series debuting from Magma Comics, DAY OF THE DEAD GIRL, and we'll have the fancy Magma Event Exclusive cover for this signing!This is going to be a big event and we only have them for a limited time so please pay close attention to the following information:
•Saturday, October 19, 3:00pm to 5:00pm
•$20 gets you the Event Exclusive cover of DAY OF THE DEAD GIRL #1
•AJ and Aimee will both sign the comic and you can get ONE additional signature from each creator. But that is all. Even if you buy multiple copies of the comic, you still only get a TOTAL of 2 signatures from each creator. Duplicate copies of the comic will not be signed.
•First-come, first served. The comic will not be available for purchase before the signing.
•Depending on crowd size, the line will most likely need to be capped, and that may happen before the advertised start time. We will make that decision on the day of, so your best chance would be to arrive EARLY and wait in line.
•The line will be OUTSIDE of the shop, wrapping North around the building. We will let groups of people into the signing room as space is available.
•NO POSED PHOTOS. You may take a selfie in front of their signing table, but you cannot go behind the table and the creators will not stand with you. Also, you'll need to take it yourself as there will be no dedicated photographer on hand.

ABOUT "DAY OF THE DEAD GIRL"
Death is never the end of the story. Coroner Sam Castillo will learn this the hard way, when a supernatural serial killer targets her hometown just as she moves back. A skeptical woman of science, Sam butts heads with her spiritual mother Ana, a leader of a witch coven specializing in Brujeria. But when the coven's Brujas start turning up murdered, Sam and Ana must work together to find the killer and save their town's Day of the Dead festival from turning into an occult bloodbath. As if sharing a bathroom with her mom wasn't hard enough.
ABOUT AJ MENDEZ
AJ Mendez is an American author, screenwriter and retired professional wrestler. She is best known for her time in WWE under the ring name AJ Lee. She wrote "Crazy Is My Superpower: How I Triumphed by Breaking Bones, Breaking Hearts, and Breaking the Rules", a memoir published by Crown Archetype in 2017. She has written the comics "GLOW vs The Babyface" and "Dungeons & Dragons At the Spine of the World" both for IDW Publishing and both with Aimee Garcia, and the screenplay for BLADE OF THE 47 RONIN, also with Aimee Garcia, as well as contributing to the WONDER WOMAN BLACK & GOLD collection.

Aimee Garcia is an American actress, singer and writer. She is known for her television roles as Veronica Palmero on the ABC sitcom George Lopez, Yvonne Sanchez on the CBS period drama Vegas, Jamie Batista on the Showtime drama Dexter and Ella Lopez on the Fox/Netflix drama Lucifer. She has written the comics "GLOW vs The Babyface" and "Dungeons & Dragons At the Spine of the World" both for IDW Publishing and both with AJ Mendez, and the screenplay for BLADE OF THE 47 RONIN, also with AJ Mendez, as well as contributing to the WONDER WOMAN BLACK & GOLD collection.
