About this Event

We present to you the Aim High Careers Fair, supported by the National Lottery Community Fund and designed for you by Babbasa's Youth Ambassadors, a group of dedicated 16-30 year olds wanting to remove barriers to opportunities for other young people from low income and ethnic minority backgrounds.

At Babbasa, we hold a vision for Bristol that every young person is able to reach their full potential regardless of their upbringing. We have tasked our Youth Ambassadors with creating an event that enhances the opportunities and insights of young

What To Expect

Come and join us for an inspiring evening of talks, opportunities to connect with employers and staff, and leave filled with optimism and hope.

This is not your traditional careers fair. Expect interactive stalls, recruitment and work experience opportunities, sign up to insight days to get a taste of your future career, and gain information, advice and guidance from industry professionals.

We have invited over 20 different businesses from across 9 sectors.

The industries that will be present at the event will include:

Tech - These industries combine computers, designing and art, including digital product design, digital media or advertising and media made with a software-based, electronic and/or data-driven engine, as well as comms and marketing.

Arts and Culture - The arts encompass visual arts, literary arts and the performing arts. Jobs in this field could include writers, artists, musicians, poets, performers and presenters, for example. These roles can link with individuals’ expression of culture, or may involve culture-specific jobs such as people and cultural advisors or policy and project officers.

Professional Services - Roles in this industry could include accountants, actuaries, auditors, bank managers, lawyers, bookkeepers and business advisors amongst others.

Retail and Hospitality - This could involve customer service in a wide range of areas such as shops, leisure centres, restaurants, cafes and hotels.

Built Environment - Professionals in this industry may include roles such as engineers, construction workers and pioneers for sustainability

Education and Public Sector - This involves social issues and support-related roles such as teachers, teaching assistants, support workers, charity workers and education officers.

Creative and Media -
