The Tradition Continues! The AIKEN HOOFBEATS CHRISTMAS PARADE
Get ready to jingle all the way through downtown Aiken as horses, carriages, carolers, elves and dogs fill the streets with holiday cheer! This is no ordinary parade - from horses decked out in jingle bells and tinsel to dogs strutting their stuff, spectators are welcome to line the parade route downtown and join the fun!
The Parade will begin at Gyles Park, down Park Avenue, Left on Chesterfield, Right to The Wilcox, Right on Newberry, Left on Park Ave. SW, Right on Laurens up to Barnwell Ave, with Santa and carolers stopping at Trinity on Laurens Senior Living Residence. The dog walkers will join the Parade starting at the County Courthouse on the corner of Park Ave. and Chesterfield St.

WANT TO PARTICIPATE?
Please be aware we have limited the number of registrants due to parking availability. After your registration, you will receive a separate email with the designated Parking, Parade Order, Parade Route, Liability Waiver and Rules.
HORSE/PONY
Staging begins at 12:00 noon at Gyles Park at the intersection of Union St. SE and Park Ave. SE. Within a week of registering, you will receive an email with: the Parade Map, Parking Information, Parade Lineup, Parade Rules as well as a Hold Harmless Waiver. Please be sure to print this information out. Please bring a signed Hold Harmless Waiver to the Parade - we will collect these at checkin.
CARRIAGES/CARTS
12:00 pm check in. We will have a limited number of Carriage/Cart participants due to space limitations. There will be specific parking for this group at Gyles Park. Within a week of registering, you will receive an email with: the Parade Map, Parking Information, Parade Lineup, Parade Rules as well as a Hold Harmless Waiver. Please be sure to print this information out. Please bring a signed Hold Harmless Waiver to the Parade - we will collect these at checkin.
DOGS
12:30. Dogs staging area will begin at 12:30 at the County Courthouse on the corner of Chesterfield St. and Park Ave. There is no specified parking for dog registrants. Please park at your convenience. Each participant must check-in at Registration and provide a signed copy of the HOLD HARMLESS AND RELEASE WAIVER. After purchasing a ticket, each registrant will receive an email with the WAIVER language which can be printed.

Horse/Pony/Donkey Registration
Info: Children under 12 are free. Each person participating must register. Horse/pony /donkey unloading and registration will be at Gyles Park located at the corner of Park Avenue SE and Union Street SE. Volunteers will be directing parking and collecting Waivers. Each registrant will receive a confirmation email which includes the Liability Waiver. Each rider/walker must bring a completed Liability Waiver to the registration at the Park.

Dog Walker Registration
Info: Each participant walking, must register. Children under 12 free. NO strollers. All dog walkers will meet at the County Courthouse parking lot at the corner of Park Avenue SE and Chesterfield Street S. After registration, you will receive an email which includes the Liability Waiver. Please print this and bring your completed Liability Waiver to check-in at the County Courthouse parking lot. Volunteers will be checking walkers in and collecting Waivers at the staging area.

Carriage/Cart Registration
Info: Only one registration per carriage or cart is required. You will receive a confirmation of your registration which will denote parking designation in Gyles Park and include the Liability Waiver. Each person in the parade with the carriage or cart need only sign one Liability Waiver which will be submitted at check-in. Volunteers will be assigned to assist in directing parking.
