American Indian Health & Services hosts an annual Gathering of Native Americans (GONA) for American Indian/Alaska Natives residing in Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. This FREE in person program is designed to strengthen community and individuals by supporting youth in a safe, culturally grounded space. This event empowers American Indian/Alaska Native cultural-values, traditions, and spiritual practices of holistic wellness. Who can attend?
American Indian/Alaska Native youth (aged 12-25) and families of Santa Barbara and Ventura Counties. With participation opportunities for volunteer roles such as Cultural Contributors, and Clan Elders (mentors).
Please note for the safety of our youth, background checks are required for participants ages 18+. Background checks will be conducted after registration via 3rd party.
GONA orientation available in person & virtual will also be required for Peacemakers, Clan Elders, and Culture Keepers.
When?
July 11 – 14, 2023 | Daily from 9 AM – 4 PM
Where?
Each day will be at a new location with transportation provided.
