Come and be inspired as WA’s energy industry moves to Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! and embrace our growing Indigenous energy sector
About this Event

The last five years has seen significant growth in the number of Indigenous services industries in WA, influenced by the introduction of the Aboriginal Procurement Policy in 2018 and growth of Indigenous industry support organisations like the Wirra Hub and the Noongar Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

With significant transformation underway across the energy sector, now is the perfect time for the sector to reflect on its next steps and opportunities to commit to this transformation in partnership with Indigenous companies and expertise.

Come along, be inspired and be ready to be part of the journey as WA’s energy industry moves to Get Up! Stand Up! Show Up! and embrace WA’s growing Indigenous energy sector and knowledge.

National NAIDOC Week celebrations are held across Australia in the first week of July each year, to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. AIE Perth is proud to be hosting its first NAIDOC week event, with the support of its esteemed Indigenous speakers. As a special NAIDOC event, AIE Perth is subsidising this event to support the NAIDOC celebration.

Canape and drinks will be served after the presentation.

Koen Matera, Co-Founder & Director - Boodjara Energy

What is AIE Perth's Cancellation policy ?

The AIE Perth understands that we are living in uncertain times, which may affect:1. your ability to attend an event you registered for; or 2. our ability to host a scheduled event. Where changes need to be made to an event we will use our best endeavours to give you as much notice as possible. We ask that you do the same where you have registered for an event, but are subsequently unable to attend.

What if I am unable to attend an event I registered for?

If you can’t attend an event you registered for you have two options: 1. Refund: If you tell us you can’t attend by midday at least two business days before the event, we can arrange a full refund. This means that if the event is on Friday, you would need to let us know no later than midday Wednesday. 2. Gift or sell your ticket: Just because you registered doesn’t mean it has to be you that attends! You can always gift or sell your ticket to a friend or colleague.

What if an event has to be cancelled, rescheduled or have its capacity reduced as a result of COVID-19 restrictions?

As a result of COVID-19 restrictions, it is possible we may need to cancel, reschedule or reduce attendance at an event. Where we have to make such changes to an event we will use our best endeavour to give you as much notice a possible. 1. If an event cannot be held as planned on the scheduled day, we may at our discretion:* cancel the event and issue a refund to all attendees;* reschedule the event for a time at which the event can be held as planned, or at a time the AIE considers attendance can be maximised.

2. Where an event is rescheduled, registered attendees will be given the option to: * use their existing registration for the newly scheduled event; * receive a refund; or * donate their ticket price to assist the AIE Perth meet its objects.

3. If we reduce attendance at an event we will contact registered attendees, seeking volunteers to cancel their registration for a refund. If registrations exceed capacity following this contact we cancel registrations and issue refunds commencing with the last person to register for the event, and continuing to cancel registrations in reverse chronological order (based on the date and time of registration), until registered attendance and capacity align.
