Get ready for The Backbeat Clubs first workshop weekend! We are delighted that Aiala and Gurutz are joining us for this special occasion. Two levels, 4 hours of classes and a Saturday night party with The Swing Rhythm Club.Aiala and Gurutz are FANTASTIC swing dancers who teach at La Demo Swing Lab in Madrid and perform with their own dance group Bababopdanza. Recently, they have been making waves at ILHC with a style that is smooth, precise, and dripping with rhythm. This is the kind of dancing that makes you want to shout “one more song!!”
Saturday Night Party at The Jungle Amsterdam with The Swing Rhythm Club (live)! They will be playing no less than three sets for you to keep bouncin'! DJ Mike and Lil’D (on vinyl) are making sure there are grooves all night long.
Level description:
Intermediate
Social dancing has become part of your life and you’re regularly out on the dance floor. You know a solid range of figures – from the basics to some more complex ones – and you mix 6- and 8-count with ease. Slow and medium tempos feel comfortable, and you’re starting to enjoy the challenge of faster songs too. At this level you’re diving into rhythm, styling, connection, and musicality, building a dance that feels more expressive and playful.
Advanced
You’ve been dancing Lindy Hop for years and it shows. Socials, festivals, workshops – you’re there, and you love exploring new ideas in your dance. Fast or slow, you feel at home on the floor, mixing in your own variations, solo jazz, and personal style. You might even practice on your own or with friends to dive into details. This level is for dancers who already move with confidence and are excited to dig deeper, refine details, and let their individuality shine.
