Join us to hear from Michael Soltys, Professor of Computer Science at CSU Channel Islands, as he discusses new advances in technology, like AI, and what it means to the way we work and the very existence of our jobs. From the FBI to Amazon, new technological tools are being implemented all the time, and we’ll take a look at what lies ahead and how it may impact our roles as communicators.
Michael joined CSUCI in 2014 as Professor, and served as chair of the Computer Science, Information Technology and Mechatronics Engineering programs until 2023. His vision is to build a world-class department where cutting edge applied research is put at the service of students and community. He received his Ph.D. is from the University of Toronto, and he specializes in Algorithms, Machine Learning and Cloud Computing. You can learn more about Professor Soltys on his website.
