This workshop will be for absolute beginners. You only need a personal computer and a desire to explore the emerging ecosystem of AI tools.
Working in groups, participants will gain hands-on experience using AI to generate short stories or poetry, narrated by AI generated voices and depicted with images also generated by AI. We will then patch everything together into short videos which will be published to the Library's YouTube channel.
You will learn about:
Leading tools in the AI space
How to generate a prompt for AI models
Current limitations of the technology
Along the way, we will discuss the potential benefits and perils the technology poses to society.
