Join us online or a central location in San Diego TBD for an exciting discussion on the impact of technology on our lives with a specific focus on childhood and adolescent development. Dive into the world of artificial intelligence, screen time habits, and how they can enhance or paralyze developing superhuman powers in youth. We will be discussing proven methods to:
- Protect and improve youth mental health
- Ensure academic success & real engagement in the classroom
- Prevent information overconsumption and lack of adulting skills
- Reduce symptoms of ADHD, OCD, mental health struggles, eating disorders, tics, and Autism challenges proven to be connected to digital media
- Learn strategies and benefits of cultivating in-person youth friendships
- Gain confidence that the new "public school phone ban" will propel your child forward in life with skills far superior to the curriculum they are studying
- Improve parent-child bonds that serve as long term mental health protective factor
At the end of the workshop parents and youth advocates will have the tools to:
- Construct a digital detox or media safety plan to guide activity, time, and sleep priorities
- Set your child up to be a self-sufficent and confident young adult with the means to support themselves with healthy, attainable goals to live independantly
- Reap the benefits of learing about fun service projects, giving back, and learn about the Ronald McDonald House of San Diego how they help families in crisis stay connected

Participants are encouraged to stay after the presentation for the Q&A session and meet and greet with other parents to build a strong community of screen savvy parents.
