AI-Ready Business: 1-Day Implementation Workshop for WA Small Business
About this Event
You've heard enough about AI. Now it's time to turn ideas into a practical plan for your business.
Many AI workshops explain what AI can do, but leave you with a long list of possibilities and no clear way forward. This practical AI implementation workshop for WA small businesses is designed to help you move from interest to action.
You will work through real business challenges, identify where AI could create practical value, assess the risks, and build a clear 90-day AI implementation roadmap suited to your business, budget, team, and existing systems.
The focus is not on chasing every new AI tool. It is on identifying the right opportunities, starting with realistic use cases, and putting the right foundations in place so your business can integrate AI with greater confidence.
Who this is for
This workshop is designed for:
- Small and medium business owners in Western Australia
- Business managers and decision-makers
- Operations and administration leads
- Marketing and customer experience teams
- Professionals responsible for digital transformation or business improvement
- Businesses that have started exploring AI but need a practical implementation plan
You do not need to be an AI expert. The workshop is designed for businesses at different stages of AI readiness.
What we will do together
- Identify your AI opportunities: Map key business processes, pain points, and repetitive tasks to identify practical AI use cases that align with your systems, budget, and data maturity.
- Prioritise what is worth testing: Assess potential opportunities based on business value, feasibility, risk, and implementation effort.
- Build a 90-day AI roadmap: Turn your strongest opportunities into practical next steps, including quick wins, pilot projects, owners, milestones, and review points.
- Understand AI rules and responsibilities: Explore relevant Australian AI policy and WA assurance expectations and translate them into practical considerations for your business.
- Assess risk before you commit: Use a practical risk and assurance checklist to evaluate AI tools, vendors, data use, and internal experiments.
- Set clear team guidelines: Develop practical internal expectations for AI use, including staff behaviour, data handling, transparency, and human review.
- Create your implementation foundations: Identify the people, processes, tools, and safeguards needed to support responsible AI integration.
What you will take home
By the end of the workshop, you will have:
- A tailored AI Opportunity Map
- A prioritised shortlist of practical AI use cases
- A 90-Day AI Implementation Roadmap
- A practical AI Risk and Assurance Checklist
- Draft Internal AI Usage Guidelines
- Clear next steps, owners, and implementation priorities
- A stronger understanding of how to integrate AI into your business responsibly
Good to know
This is a practical, hands-on implementation workshop rather than a general introduction to AI. You will work with your own business context, so please bring a laptop and, where possible, examples of your current workflows, business processes, or challenges you would like to improve. Avoid bringing confidential or sensitive information. No advanced technical experience is required.
