What Is the AI-Powered Game Development Studio?

What’s better than creating your own video game? Creating one with the power of modern AI tools and professional game engines. In this studio-style camp, teens experience the full process of game creation — from concept and worldbuilding to mechanics, scripting, and polish.

Over one project-focused week, campers design game worlds, build characters, implement mechanics, and use AI to accelerate art ideas, story elements, and coding support. By the end of camp, each student walks away with a playable game prototype and the skills to keep building.

Camp Highlights
Game Design Foundations

Campers start by thinking like game creators:

  • Define the core idea, genre, and goals of their game
  • Design characters, enemies, abilities, and challenges
  • Plan levels, progression, and overall player experience

AI-Enhanced Creativity

Students learn how to use AI as a creative partner, not a replacement:

  • Generate concept art ideas for characters, environments, and items
  • Brainstorm quests, dialogue, lore, and story hooks
  • Get help with code snippets and logic while still learning the “why”

Hands-On Game Building

Using beginner-friendly game dev tools (chosen based on level), campers:

  • Build 2D or simple 3D levels, scenes, and gameplay areas
  • Implement movement, collisions, enemies, health, scoring, or puzzle systems
  • Test mechanics repeatedly and refine how the game feels to play

Playtesting, Feedback & Polish

Throughout the week, campers play each other’s games and:

  • Identify bugs and confusing moments
  • Adjust difficulty, pacing, and clarity
  • Add finishing touches to visuals, UI, and effects

Every student leaves with a playable prototype, design notes, and the confidence to keep creating on their own.
