About this Event
Join us for an in-person talk on Thursday MAR 19 at 6:00 PM CST, to learn about merging aerospace design with digital engineering.
Our March speaker will be Dr. David McDaniel of the DoD High Performance Computing Modernization Program. Please plan to join in-person if you are able
About the speaker:
Dr. David McDaniel works for the DoD High Performance Computing Modernization Program and is a senior member of the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics. He earned his Bachelors in Aeronautical Engineering from the United States Air Force Academy, his Masters in Mechanical Engineering from The George Washingon University, and is Doctorate in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. David McDaniel began his career serving in the US Air Force conducting flight tests to assess the stability and control characteristics of various military aircraft to include the B-1A and B-2A bombers. He later taught aerodynamics and thermodynamics at the US Air Force Academy where he first entered into the world of computational aerodynamics. He worked as a researcher in the Aeronautics Lab at the Academy for several years developing computational techniques for high-fidelity simulations of various multidisciplinary problems.
